Our client a leader in radiation therapy and radiosurgery and are looking for an experienced material handler for 15 months with the potential to be converted.
This position supports the stock room, kitting of parts necessary to build linear accelerators and shipping/receiving functions for the Sunnyvale Campus.
Reporting To/Department
This person will work in the Linac Production Department and report to the Manufacturing Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Signs for all incoming deliveries, checks for proper paperwork and shipment contents.
  • Receives the shipment into the company database and forwards paperwork to accounting.
  • Maintains receiving logs and paperwork files.
  • Researches and resolves receiving problems with the carrier and/or Buyer/Planners.
  • Routes materials to IQA and other locations using Material Transfer forms and transactions.
  • Maintains stockroom, loading dock and oversize material stocking locations.
  • Stocks and cycle counts materials on hand and reports on inventory accuracy.
  • Assemble work order kits and issue materials to the production floor as needed.
  • Reviews inventory of excess and obsolete items, disposes items as needed.
  • Prepares items and documents for outbound shipment.
  • Contacts the carrier for pick-up.
  • Performs special delivery or pick-up of items as required, using a company-owned vehicle.
  • Follows safety, health and quality requirements and performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred or Desired: Qualifications that are advantageous to have in order to do the role successfully over time, but can be trained.
  • 3+ years of Shipping, Receiving, Stockroom Control using computerized inventory system
  • Inventory control, work order kitting and cycle counting knowledge
  • International shipment preparation & tracking knowledge
  • 3+ years forklift driving and pallet jack operation
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work a physically active position (frequent climbing of ladders, kneeling, crouching, and crawling)
  • Prior Shipping/Receiving experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organized and have attention to details
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve issues with other departments.
