Our client is a leading provider of patient recruitment solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Their proprietary software and databases, in conjunction with their recruitment process expertise, allow pharmaceutical companies to identify qualified patients for clinical studies, and track them in the detail required to maximize enrollment.  The Patient Recruitment Feasibility Specialist will review clinical trial protocol and related documents to develop and operationalize strategy for patient recruitment for new and current business opportunities.
Job Responsibilities:
Performs patient recruitment feasibility assessment of clinical protocols to assess the challenges of including the following responsibilities:
  • Develops recruitment funnel
  • Researches indication
  • Conducts patient surveys
  • Interviews healthcare providers and site personnel
  • Generates questions to the sponsor regarding the opportunity
  • Assists in the development of patient recruitment programs across multiple therapeutic areas
  • Writes supportive documentation to serve as basis for proposal assertions
  • Provides concise and articulate rationale for bidding strategy and elements of patient recruitment funnel to internal and external parties, including senior management team
  • Prepares and attends (in person or phone/web-based) client meetings in areas including bid defenses, screeners and recruitment materials development, investigator meeting, and other client meetings (as required)
  • Represents the company with professionalism and poise when presenting to clients over the phone or in person
  • Pulls Ad hoc requests from Sales including analysis and updates to prospective projects
  • Analyzes and works to continuously improve predictive performance metrics in support of activities focused on both business development and operations
  • Documents and tracks findings for future use
  • Assists in project start-up activities including:
    • Conducts internal handoff meeting
    • Generates internal database queries
    • Trains internal and site personnel on relevant aspects of protocol
    • Assists with creation or marketing material
  • Develops Screeners including the following functions:
    • Writes screener questions
    • Resolves Project Management or sponsor questions about screener
    • Works with IT to ensure correct programming of screener
    • Conducts call center training session
    • Monitors screener performance after study launch
    • Utilizes internal template language and assist in development of new screener templates or processes
  • Pulls Ad hoc requests from Analytics, Project Management and IT other operational departments including analysis and updates to prospective or active projects
  • Documents, reports findings and makes recommendations to internal groups
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as biology, biomedical engineering, psychology, nursing, or public health
  • 4 years experience in clinical research and/or patient recruitment
  • Experience interacting directly with patients in a research setting is a plus
  • Previous experience working at a CRO or pharmaceutical sponsor is a plus
  • Ability to analyze with strong attention to details
  • Persuasive writing skills and the ability to simplify complex medical concepts
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently, function effectively as a member of a team and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively across multiple teams 
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) in a PC environment
  • Demonstrated comprehensive understanding of clinical research patient recruitment across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Experience presenting professional materials to others (e.g. presenting at investigator meetings, client presentation or bid defense, conducting professional training sessions, or other presentation experience) is a plus
