One of the world’s largest adventure sports media platforms. Is seeking a Collections and Credit Specialist. 

Summary: 
You will be responsible for proactively collecting balances due from customers and ensuring the company maintains health receivables.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:
•    Own the assigned customer accounts. Specifically, liaison between the billing group and the cash applications group to resolve any issues related to the customer. The Sr. S/R Collections Specialist is the Company’s face with customers.
•    Comfortable with making collection calls to a diverse range of customers.
•    Run credit analyses on customers and recommend credit limits, holds to management.
•    Strategize on an optimal approach for collecting past due amounts in consultation with management.
•    Make concise notes in the A/R system about collection efforts and sales strategy is not at odds
•    Prepare reports and reconciliations as it relates to accounts assigned.
•    Well versed in collection methodologies including making cold collection calls and establishing/maintaining positive working relationships with customers. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•    Ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of individuals including senior management, sales reps and above all, a diverse customer base
•    Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment
•    Strong excel skills 
•    Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality
•    Ability to take accountability for work produced
•    Knowledge of credit reporting agencies and related issues
•    Proactively work with the cash applications team to ensure cash on account is resolved.

Job Requirements of a Qualified Candidate:
1.    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
2.    3+ years’ experience in collections
3.    Prior experience in working in the automotive/media industry.
4.    Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
5.    Must have knowledge with Accounting software.
6.    Experience using 10-key
