Manufacturing Operations & Regulatory Sr. HR Manager
Our client is a mid sized publicly traded healthcare and diagnostics company.  They are seeking a Senior HR Business Partner who will ensure the effective delivery of HR services to their San Diego (Diagnostics) Manufacturing and Quality/Regulatory functions. Specific areas of focus will include management coaching, performance management, employee relations, development and talent management, selection and retention.
This position will report into the Director of HR, who is based on the East Coast, and work closely with the senior management team within the manufacturing operations and regulatory groups.  The Director is seeking professionals who are strategic and have created and implemented efficient processes.  Those who have solely implemented HR process others have created would not be ideal for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Business Partner
  • Partner, consult, and provide proactive solutions to sophisticated senior executives on strategic workforce planning, learning and development, organizational development, and more
  • Act as a business partner to the Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams focusing on the continual alignment of talent and business goals
  • Design and deliver strategic organizational design initiatives to create business efficiencies, streamline processes, and address potential challenges
Talent Management
  • Partner with leaders to build and consistently refine creative talent acquisition and management solutions including branding, retention, performance, succession planning, and communications
Employee Relations
  • Consult with VP’s, directors, managers and individuals, framing issues and solutions to the respective level within the organization
  • Contributes their opinions and influences leaders by being collaborative, flexible, proactive, and willing to roll up their sleeves when needed.
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and proficiency with spreadsheets, presentations, etc.  Familiarity with Oracle preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or HR related certification required; Advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years HR related experience required with strong Generalist background.
  • Life Sciences industry or Manufacturing industry background preferred.
  • Specific expertise in areas of Employee Relations, Workforce Planning, Talent Management/Retention, Compensation & Benefits, OD/Training, Team Building.
