Our client, a publicly traded global conglomerate is seeking an Accounts Payable supervisor.  Position will be based out of Orlando, FL, manage at team of 8-12.

This strategic managerial role requires AR professionals who have experience working with government clients.

In this role. Requires consistent communication with all business units, corporate accounting and revenue recognition departments. You will manage a team of 8-12 in the AR Department and report into the Payroll Director.
Day to Day Operations-
  • As the AR Manager you will coordinate and review contract closeout reconciliations and de-obligation of funds requests.
  • Reviews and provides guidance for project structures (including intercompany) to comply with any contract provisions.
  • Works with Program Finance, Program Management and Contracts to identify special billing requirements
  • Implements and supervises inter-divisional billing procedures.
  • Maintains billing, collections and cash applications policies, procedures and practices to be complaint with corporate and relevant government agency regulations
  • Provides A/R, collections and cash receipts reports to all levels of management at both the corporate level and subsidiary personnel.
  • Performs managerial functions including hiring, motivating, counseling, evaluating and disciplining subordinates, making work assignments and establishing work priorities.
Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Four-year college degree in Accounting/Finance
  • A minimum of ten years of related accounting experience.
  • Experience in dealing with the US Government strongly preferred.
  • Billing experience for all contract types (i.e. Cost Plus, FP, Progress Payments) required.
  • Must have good working knowledge of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS) and other relevant government regulations.
  • ITAR/FAR understanding. Government contract reviews
  • Experience in working with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) preferred.
  • Extensive use of iRAPT (formerly Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF)), US Government billing and shipment system required.
  • You have experience with large ERP systems such as-   Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, SAGE
