A world leader in defense training and communications.  You will be working with and for industry-leading DoD firm on the cutting edge of SATCOM.  In this role, you will be part of a team that leads the design of customer products. 

Work as part of the engineering team to conduct electrical design and testing of our products and to provide leadership to the electrical engineering team. 
Products range from antenna inflation units to more complex antenna pointing and tracking systems.  Some products require a level of RF design.  Responsibilities will cover the entire product life-cycle from concept development to troubleshooting of fielded equipment. 
The position will also require providing technical review and guidance of the designs of other engineers.  It will include working closely with other engineering disciplines. Duties will include board and product level design, debugging and review as well as establishing design practices and providing mentorship to other engineers. 

  • You have experience providing technical leadership to a team.
  • Experience in designing and testing for EMI/EMC compliance (MIL-STD-461/462) including grounding, bonding and shielding design and test.
  • ESD protection analysis and design capability. 
  • Knowledge of RF transmission systems and antenna basics.
  • Proficiency with Altium layout and schematic capture.
  • Ability to design and analyze power supplies, motor controllers and/or control systems.
  • Experience in the design of rugged, portable electronics systems.
  • Experience with MIL-HDBK-217 reliability prediction and worst-case analysis
  • Demonstrated experience with board-level design and testing. 
  • Demonstrated experience supporting all phases of detailed electrical hardware development activities: requirements generation and validation, initial design, prototype, PDR, CDR, lab testing, field testing.
  • Demonstrated experience with RF and analog lab test equipment.
  • RF, analog, and/or mixed signal circuit design, analysis and testing experience.
  • Ability to perform technical peer review of board level designs
