Currently, we are seeking Technician Engineering Development II for our Aerospace group. 
 
Position Purpose:
Under the direction of the Aerospace Engineering Manager, the ideal candidate will be an electrically inclined hands-on technician who will perform tasks in support of our Engineers with development and production programs with emphasis on testing and electrical troubleshooting.
 
Essential Job Functions (primary duties and outputs of position):
  • Production support - Troubleshoot and repair failed assemblies.
  • Design and fabricate electrical and mechanical test fixtures.
  • Assist Engineering in the development and qualification of new product.
  • Assist in the transition of new products to the manufacturing floor.
  • Assist in writing Calibration and ATP test procedures per customer specifications.
  • Conduct qualification testing in-house and at outside test facilities.  Qualification testing includes effects of EMI, input power, lightning, voltage transients, vibration, shock…
  • Collect and reduce test data, document the test results using a standardized test report format.
  • Other duties as needed.

  • Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. 
  • Maintain effective and constructive working relationships with others both internally and externally. 
  • Assist in the preparation of effective reports and presentation of departmental information.
 
Education/Work Experience/Qualifications:
  • Prior progressive work experience performing testing and troubleshooting of electromechanical equipment
  • Associate degree in electronics or 3+ years of direct work experience
  • Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits down to the component level.
  • Proficient in the use of lab equipment i.e. multimeters, oscilloscopes...
  • Must be a hands on self-starter who is a team player possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.  
  • Able to multitask, meet deadlines and possess good organizational skills.
  • Strong written communications/able to learn how to write calibration and test procedures
  • Prior experience in the Aerospace industry and qualification testing is preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient with MS Word and MS Excel.
