We are excited to announce that we have a new opening for Chief Compliance Officer. This new role is all about protecting TargetCW and the clients we serve while serving our client base with the best contingent workforce solution the world has to offer.
The CCO will oversee several departments and disciplines within the organization including governance of the pre-screen/background check department: This team processes close to 1,000 background checks per month. They are responsible for staying up-to-date with federal and state specific background check laws in addition to communicating sensitive information appropriately to all parties. Currently the team is going through a significant automation initiative to minimize data entry and speed time to results (TTR). The CCO will also oversee a compliance team that is responsible for all internal and external compliance needs. This team ensures that we can legally engage with 1099 contractors on behalf of our clients, reviews contracts, creates and manages our internal policies/procedures, and is responsible for securing and maintaining global and regional compliance/privacy standards such as GDPR. Lastly, the CCO will own the risk areas of workers compensation, property and casualty insurances and overall risk management looking out for the unknown.
What else will the CCO do? Mentor, train, communicate, reinforce and help establish and govern risk management and legal interpretation to ensure we are serving our clients and internal employees with the best of our culture, but also protecting ourselves from needless drama and legal stuff. The goal of the CCO is to adhere to the high standards of TargetCW and our values. We want someone that goes beyond mere legal compliance - someone who trains our workers on ethics, conflicts of interest and serving others in a way that fulfills our purposes and shows our clients an example of a wonderful company, that cares more about people than “regulations”.
We’re all about people first and policy second, filtered by good old-fashioned wisdom. We envision the CCO being involved in almost all departments of TargetCW, helping team members and leaders with internal and external compliance whether it is legal, a new procedure, or establishing new protocols and norms. We would love to see the CCO lead groups and training our teams in the “finer” points of leadership, growth and development. This is not a behind-the-desk job in the traditional sense. We want compliance to be an element that is exciting and freeing, not shackling.
The CCO will also oversee client-side communication. It’s important for us to advise our clients on the latest and greatest innovations in our industry. The CCO will set the tone and oversee the messages that come from TargetCW. We want to communicate in our fun, culture driven style, but we also want to be
thorough, concise and compliant with our communication. This won’t be a large part of the position, but important.
