Essential Job Duties and Requirements:
We’re looking for a talented and experienced Senior Systems Designer to join them full time. The candidate will help create, implement and maintain a suite of robust gaming systems, including economy, metagame, and combat balancing. We’re looking for a person with a passion for data and a drive for simple, flexible, and scalable gaming systems. Somebody who relishes the challenge of finding all the answers in numbers, patterns, and statistics. 

Skills Required:
  • Create the monetization strategy for the product
  • Create, test, and refine player progression rewards and their distribution
  • Work with design and tech teams to define target KPI’s, engagement, and retention mechanics
  • Formulate, implement, and balance game economy & monetization
  • Design, implement, and balance general game systems
  • Analyze data analytics to inform and improve design decisions
  • Work closely with the Lead Designer and Engineer to achieve product goals, data handling tools, and pipelines
  • Deconstruct systems and recognize market trends
  • Other duties may be assigned to accomplish company or department objectives
Qualifications:
  • Create the monetization strategy for the product

Bonus Skills:
  • Self-motivated and passionate about computer graphics
  • Thorough understanding of basic graphics techniques relating to lighting, shadowing, etc.
  • Knowledge of shading languages such as HLSL and GLSL
  • Capable of conveying a range of complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical team members.
  • Understanding of complex relationship between written code and its execution on underlying hardware
  • Thorough understanding of current rendering pipeline
  • Worked on a multi-year large-scale game title
  • Passion about games and game development
  • Strong mathematical and analytical thinking
  • In-depth knowledge of current and emerging monetization models
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Write detailed and concise designs outlining system requirements for implementation
  • Expertise in data analyzation, manipulation, and balancing
  • Passionate about games, economies, and problem solving
  • Knowledge and understanding of game design fundamentals
  • Passion about games and game development a plus
  • C#, Lua or similar scripting experience
