With an engineering staff, degreed Product Specialists and a UL 501 panel shop, we assist customers in solving complex automation and pneumatic issues.
 
Essential Job Duties and Requirements:
In support of our mission statement, the Control Engineer provides assistance to our Field Sales Team. This position is responsible for developing engineered solutions for assigned projects. This position is also responsible for developing and completing designs on time and communicating any difficulties to the assigned Engineering/Project Manager.
  • Create solution concepts for customer presentations
  • Provide Technical Assistance to customers and Sales Engineer
  • Perform Sales Calls with or without Territory Sales Engineer
  • Contribute to the development growth of Automation Team processes
  • Evaluate and recommend suppliers and products
  • Create quotes of automation systems
  • Qualify sales projects and prioritize accordingly with Engineering Manager direction
  • Follow-up on all assigned projects
  • Create demos & proof of concepts for qualified projects
  • Create/design and maintain revisions of PLC, Drive, and HMI programs
  • Create/design and maintain revisions of electrical schematics of builds
  • Design Electrical layout of entire system and maintain revisions
  • Design electrical panels from component selection to panel drawings and schematics
  • Know and understand the Electrical Safety Policy and Procedure
  • Update and maintain Automation Demo equipment and software
  • Evaluate and recommend tools/software/processes to maximize efficiency in the Automation process
Skills Required:
  • 4 year degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related field
  • Experience with designing and upgrading automated equipment, working in a team environment, and working on multiple projects at once
  • Product knowledge of Automation devices and software
  • Strong background with PLC and/or motion programming
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers to create Scope of Work for Project
  • Ability to work and communicate in a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to fast paced environment and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to create electrical schematics
  • Advanced knowledge of pneumatic and/or engineering principles
  • Aptitude for technical applications
  • Experience with getting project definition from customers and meeting their needs
  • Knowledge of process flow or process and instrumentation diagrams
  • Knowledge of CAD software (Solidworks, etc)
