Our client, a global aerospace and defense contractor, is looking for an HRIS Specialist to join the HR department Mission and contribute by providing support to existing and new HRIS systems and functionality, as well as ongoing support to business partners, support reporting functions, and provide system administration assistance.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Act as subject matter expert (SME) on the SAP HRIS system, assisting HR department team with changes, inputs and reports.
  • Serve as a technical point-of-contact and assists with data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
  • Assists with daily/weekly data entry of personnel transactions. Ensures timely processing to align with payroll schedule and confirms accuracy and integrity of all data entered.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of reference materials and provides on-going support for end-users.
  • Develops, modifies, and executes reports to support HR business needs and fulfill ad hoc and recurring data requests from internal customers.
  • Coordinates data exports and transmission to third party vendors. Assists in the research and resolution of any data issues between HRIS and vendors systems.
  • Continually increase HRIS knowledge through participation in user groups, webcasts, trainings, etc. to ensure best practices and to keep up on current trends.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, both in hardcopy files and electronically.
  • Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.
  • Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for improvements.
  • Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.
  • Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. If equivalent experience, high school diploma required.
  • Minimum 2 years of HRIS experience (SAP or Oracle experience preferred) entering data, generating reports including querying data and data manipulation.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Vlookups, formulas, pivot table proficiency required
  • Experience managing HRIS projects including implementations, functionality enhancements, and process improvement initiatives, preferred.
