THE OPPORTUNITY
In 2018, over 65 million people worldwide will buy tickets on Eventbrite. That’s a lot of experiences—and a wealth of stories to tell. Our platform hosts millions of unique and exciting happenings around the globe, from huge festivals to secret supper clubs, with thousands of hidden gems in between. As Eventbrite’s marketplace grows, we’re seeking a Contract Social Producer based in New York City with a passion for events and a knack for Instagram to help us tell our story.
 
THE TEAM
The Eventbrite Consumer Content team (Team CoCo) is passionate about helping event-goers around the world find and attend their next live experience. We curate interesting events and tell stories across many channels, including social, email, our blog, and our product. From weekend-only pop-ups to underground cooking classes, we’re in constant pursuit of what’s new and trending in cities across the country.
 
THE ROLE
Eventbrite is in search of a Contract Social Producer — aka the Eventbrite LA Insider — to seek out and attend the most compelling music, art, food, and cultural events in Los Angeles — then bring them to life for our Instagram audiences on our accounts, @Eventbrite and @EventbriteLA. Our ideal candidate is obsessed with experiencing everything LA has to offer, from art openings to hot concerts to quirky classes (and, of course, Instagramming every interesting second). Eventbrite’s LA Insider will have the opportunity to attend 1-2 events each week (on us!), post them to Eventbrite’s Instagram account, and get paid to do it.
 
This contract position for Eventbrite via TargetCW requires a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends to attend events and a 15 hour per week commitment. Compensation will be $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience.

THE SKILL SET
  • 2+ years’ experience with digital content creation for a consumer brand or digital agency (with a focus on Instagram)
  • Experience writing quick, clever social copy
  • Deeply in tune with what’s new and trending in Los Angeles with the ability to consistently source and recommend interesting events and experiences to cover
  • A passion for music, art, food, classes and culture
  • A thorough understanding of social media platforms, analytics and emerging digital trends
  • Familiar with photography and video shooting best practices on a smartphone

  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live experiences
