About Role:
In this contract role you will apply your skills and training to plant production in a modern, fast-paced, high-technology hydroponic farm. 
 
As a Production Associate, you will be involved with our efforts aimed at optimizing all aspects of locally grown and packaged commercial produce grown in our automated indoor farm. Your role will include routine activities across a variety of stations, including plant handling, harvesting, equipment operation, farm operations information monitoring and collection of environmental and production data.
 
This is a contract position with the potential to convert to permanent Plenty employee in the future.
 
What You'll Do:
  • This will be a hands-on role where you will work with highly automated processing equipment
  • Perform routine end-of-shift daily cleaning of the farm, farm equipment and work area - this includes working with industrial solutions (proper personal protection equipment provided)
  • Assist in a broad range of manufacturing operations activities including, but not limited to, equipment monitoring, basic debugging, data collection, and material moving 
  • Lead with proper use of personal protection equipment, workforce safety and food safety practices including; safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed shoes, and high-visibility vests
What We're Looking For:
  • Ability to practice safe work habits in an automated facility at all times
  • Ability to utilize an HMI (Human Machine Interface) to operate and monitor automated equipment
  • 1-year experience working in one of the following is preferred: manufacturing/assembly line, large-scale automated warehouse, or high-volume food processing environment 
  • You are a self-starter who gets involved quickly and takes on difficult tasks with enthusiasm.  You’ll act to achieve goals beyond what is required
  • Ability to maintain high activity and productivity level. Operates with a sense of urgency, efficiency, effectiveness and determination over extended periods of time
  • Strives to understand the details. Solid planning, detail oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Presents ideas effectively, actively listens and works effectively with other teams
  • Can work in a group or alone; oriented towards teamwork and the goals of the farm 
  • Ability to effectively document and communicate equipment activity accurately 
  • Maintains stable and professional performance under pressure or opposition
  • Ability to effectively take direction and implement changes quickly
  • Humble, teachable, team-player who is enthusiastic and hard-working
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds and at times work in refrigerated environment (34 degrees) with cold gear
  • 1-year experience working in a greenhouse, or production environment preferred
