Position Summary:
As a Test Engineer for the Control and Visualization test team, you will be responsible for test planning, test case generation and execution of tests targeting the performance/load and stress of our software design studio applications.
In this position, you will be a key player in ensuring that developed products are robust, defect free, meet performance requirements, and are within total quality management standards.  
Essential Functions:
  • Designs, Plans and Performs routine performance test of software applications.
  • Selects and integrates performance and load testing tools into the development environment.
  • Collaborates with product development teams to integrate performance testing into our SDLC.
  • Evaluates, challenges, and researches possible solutions by seeking input from subject matter experts to ensure fact-based recommendations and decisions are being made during all phases of product development.
  • Establishes a timeline for assigned tasks/projects and is able to track and report progress as well as meet deadlines.
  • Conducts informal presentations to small groups regarding specific technical topics.

  • Will consider sponsorship for qualified applicants, except those currently in F-1 or J-1 status. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with a concentration in software/firmware or equivalent knowledge in the areas of software/firmware engineering (software requirements analysis, software design, software testing) is desired
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Experience with performance and load testing of client and server applications.  Able to define SLA's, track improvement goals, define and monitor metrics and generate reports.
  • Must exhibit good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Control system and manufacturing automation experience and/or domain knowledge.
  • Able to apply knowledge of test methodologies.
