Summary: 
The Vice President of Operations will be responsible for driving process, improvement and results within the Operations team including manufacturing, supply chain, fulfillment and installation with a focus on ensuring timely, cost-effective, accurate deliveries and installations with a focus on customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial and results-oriented operations executive to build and scale an operations team. This position will drive strategy and operations; aggressively, efficiently and continuously evolving our services and providing strong operations leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide key leadership in corporate and operational functions including operational control; business integration, responsiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide forward looking insight and function as a strategic enabler and problem solver
  • Work in a hands-on fashion to lead reporting departments
  • Help drive the performance, strategic planning and growth orientation of the business
  • Develop and direct the management of the company’s fulfillment/distribution center that will ensure fast order processing, accurate inventory control, proper and timely receipt/stocking of goods, cost-efficient shipping and effective processing of returns.
  • Manage logistics and outbound transportation processes, negotiate parcel freight programs.
  • Develop and direct the management of the installation department to ensure customer satisfaction, and improved installation efficiency.
  • Implement processes, systems and management methods to generate higher ROI, workflow optimization and productivity.
  • Partner with the executive team to lead the company through significant growth and an overall increase of valuation for overall profitability
  • Partner with Product, Sales and Marketing leadership to influence the prioritization of key initiatives and lead small teams and/or activities required to incubate them to maturity
  • Create a high performing manufacturing and operations team
  • Responsible for ensuring delivery schedules are met
  • Champion continuous improvement to meet or exceed business goals
  • Develop and sustain quality, delivery and costs across operations
  • Report on revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS) and gross margin objectives aligned with the company’s business objectives
  • Partner with finance on month end close inventory and reconciliations with COGS
  • Work with product and finance team to develop a robust demand management and capacity planning capability
  • Create and effectively implementing repeatable processes that drive defects down and result in improved predictability of product shipments
  • Proactively manages inventory and other key levers in improving working capital
  • Develops, implements and updates monthly KPI’s
  • Effectively partners across the business to support the roll-out and execution of project and initiatives
  • Provide safety, health and environmental leadership
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 6+ years successfully developing and leading manufacturing and fulfillment organizations
  • Worked in and knows how to implement “best in class” manufacturing processes
  • Equally comfortable and effective in the strategic, as well as, “sleeves-rolled-up” tactical and detailed domains
  • Proven hands-on Lean conversion experience, including ability to implement and lead continuous improvement events
  • Proven track record leading manufacturing and fulfillment in a high growth environment
  • Approachable and collaborative doer to drive success
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment and can have a few laughs in the process
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • High sense of urgency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience with commercial operations
  • Experience with successfully leveraging LEAN, 6 sigma, TQM/TPM and other relevant operations tools
  • Experience with Fishbowl inventory management system and Salesforce
