Position Overview-
As a Production Supervisor (Assembly Line Leader)  you are responsible for overseeing the operations of production teams to meet scheduled requirements and customer commitments and ensuring team metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. You will also facilitate cross-functional root cause problem solving (RCPS), and drive continuous improvement of the production line. You will report to the Production Manager and direct reports will be the Process Owners, Technicians, and Test Support Assemblers.


Day-to Day
  1. You will ensure 5S practices are adhered to and sustained within work areas and ensures that Safety, Health and Environmental compliance is included as part of everyday activities.
  2. You will ensure that KPI and other visual management boards are maintained for the manufacturing cell. Reacts to metrics, implementing processes to improve metrics. Facilitates activities to develop and implement visual signals for the value stream cell.
  3. You will supervise operators and/or technicians in the production cell. Includes participating in staff selection, performance management (including evaluation and discipline), coaching, training and employee development, and ensuring compliance to legal and company requirements.
  4. You have the leadership and ability to conducts process confirmations to ensure standard work processes are being followed. Identifies and addresses non-compliance, looking for continuous improvement opportunities. Ensures all operational processes are carried out in accordance with quality systems and procedures.
  5. Identifies problems, such as part shortages or process issues, and facilitates resolution or elevates the problem/issue to manager
 
Experience
  1. You have the appropriate and relevant military experience both in leadership and environment
  2. You possess a min of (5) years of  DoD, OEM, Production, Manufacturing experience, including demonstrated leadership experience.
  3. College Degree preferred
  4. You are a natural born leader with the with integrity, honesty, and trust and to act with energy, passion and responsibility in alignment with the Excellence Code of Conduct.
  5. Area proven motivator
  6. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma principles and tools.
  7. Good working knowledge of computer applications such as SAP, Outlook, Excel and Word. Understanding of common SAP transactions preferred.
  8. Experience with RF Microwave manufacturing.
  9. Experience with SAP or Oracle transactions.
  10. Experience with Theory of Constraints.
  11. Recent military background with relevant MOS/Rate
  12. Project Experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles & tools.
  13. You must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
