Summary:
Our client, a leading e-commerce company in San Diego, is seeking an IT Operations Engineering Manager to fulfill a pivotal role within their company.  They have a start up like corporate culture while having the financial backing of a publicly traded company with solid financials. 

Under the direction of their new Senior Leadership you can be part of a team with clear career pathing implemented for the team and an opportunity to be strategic, not just operational or task focused, for the company’s continued growth.  In this role, you will lead architectural patterns of large, high-scale web applications and microservices architectures. You drive tech forward, you understand process management and SDLC planning.

  3. They build software using Microsoft technologies like: .Net and C#; they try to use the best tool for the job.
  4. They deploy our software using a collection of tools like: TFS, Release Manager, PowerShell, and DSC.
  5. They believe that safe deployments are small, frequent, and fast.
  6. They strive for full automation of software deployments and delivery.
About You:
  1. You love working with teams of smart and driven people who are excited to solve challenging problems.
  2. You recognize that deployments are a mundane activity, but also risky; you have some ideas on how we can best solve this problem.
  3. You are adamant about instrumenting and measuring the performance of code to find bottlenecks and improve performance.
  4. You exhibit dogged determination to get to the root of problems.
  5. You can convey your thoughts, enjoy presenting what you’ve done, and can cater your message to audiences both technical and non-technical.
Qualifications and Experience:
 
  1. Experience supporting corporate IT within medium to large company (300+ users) Experience with E-commerce, SaaS or Cloud Computing.
  2. Preference for migration to cloud & Azure experience and experience managing teams
  3. Wholly responsible for the personal/professional development
  4. You've designed and delivered enterprise-class infrastructure solutions that incorporate on-premise and cloud-based components with appropriate security considerations.
  5. You’ve helped individuals succeed by recognizing and providing opportunities for professional growth for two or more years.
  6. You have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of networking and the full-stack OSI model.
  7. You have successfully analyzed and developed solutions to complex server, workstation, operating system, and application requirements.
  8. You’ve been directly responsible for the administrative aspects of having at least two direct reports for two or more years
  9. You’ve worked with Azure.
  10. You’ve worked with Avaya or Genesys contact center solutions.
  11. You have planned, configured, troubleshot, and maintained Active Directory including schema changes, processes, GPOs and general administration.
  12. You have assisted in the planning, configuring, troubleshooting, and end-user support of the company’s workstations, laptops and mobile devices.
  13. You have experience using Microsoft Visio and Project to organize and document your work.
  14. You have familiarity or experience with ITIL fundamentals and compliance requirements for PCI.
