Job Responsibilities:
The LMS Administrator participates in the operation and maintenance of the enterprise system in support of the University’s core objectives for supporting workforce development.  S/he is primarily responsible for, and provides technical leadership in, support of the enterprise learning management system (LMS), currently Net Dimensions Learning.  Supporting blended learning and other connected systems for reporting and analytics.  Course management and catalog maintenance, digital repositories, synchronous collaboration tools, and rich media distribution systems.  The LMS Administrator is responsible for the support, implementation, delivery, and maintenance of resources used for instructional functions; and is co-shared with the lead system administrator for the University’s LMS as well as the integrated tools and oversees the installation of all system updates, upgrades, integrated tools, and other software integrated with the LMS, Reporting to the Director of Educational Technologies, the LMS Administrator has duties that include but are not limited to:
  • Tier 1 help desk support
  • Support LMS integration activities (content integration and testing, transcript import)
  • User data import and provisioning
  • Domain and role configuration
  • Domain and role configuration
  • Oversees day-to-day operation of the LMS
  • Manages data flow between the LMS and other systems
  • Manages community areas within the LMS, including appearance, tabs, and settings.
  • Reviews systems performance proactively.
  • Analyzes system outages, and manages and monitors system performance.
  • Maintains procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
  • Writes and maintains technical procedures and policy documentation.
  • Creates, manages, and enforces LMS standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Reviews and improves system operations practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 3+ years experience with Net Dimensions 13.0 
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Attention to detail
  • Manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
