Summary
Our client is a global leader in the field of radiosurgery dedicated to providing an improved quality of life and a treatment to those diagnosed with cancer. It develops and markets an IMRT/IGRT radiation therapy designed to deliver therapeutic dose with high precision while sparing healthy tissue. They are currently looking for a C++ Engineer to to develop large scale applications for radiation treatment planning.

Job Responsibilities
  • Participate in the ongoing development of applications that aid our customers to deliver accurate cancer fighting radiation treatments to their patients. 
  • Work within the programming details of geometric and spatial relationships, coordinate system transformations, image registration, work flow analysis, user interface, usability and related issues.  
  • Responsible for helping create and analyze software architecture and designs
  • Implementing software components that meet requirements
  • Testing software at all levels
  • Collaborating with other departments in the organization and documenting all activities as required.
  • Must learn clinical workflows, without being in a clinic, and to work with in-house radiation treatment machines for testing purposes. This is an FDA-regulated industry with strict process requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 5-10+ years’ experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related discipline required; Masters’ degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
  • Professional experience developing in C++ using object oriented methodologies
  • Proficiency in Visual Studio and Windows and preferably with MFC
  • Experience writing design documentation and requirements
  • Experience developing to written requirements and Design Specifications
  • Experience managing synchronization concerns within a multi-threaded or multi-process application
  • Knowledge of data serialization formats and protocols
  • Ability to understand and work with three dimensional images and data
  • Strong debugging and diagnostic skills leveraging knowledge of Operating System fundamentals, RPC protocols
  • Experience with automated unittesting frameworks
  • Experience with OpenGL or other graphics APIs
  • Must be able to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, including with remote development teams
  • Strong mathematics background required
  • Other beneficial knowledge, skills and abilities:
  • Experience in DICOM protocols a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong physics background is a plus
